Dr. Brett Cassidy
Dr. Cassidy is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who has been practicing for over 20 years. He was born in Madison, Connecticut, and received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University and his medical degree from Emory University. Dr. Cassidy completed his residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. He practiced as an obstetrician in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Charleston, South Carolina, for 4 years. Dr. Cassidy specializes in robotic surgery and is a national proctor for these cases.
Dr. Cassidy has been practicing in Sandwich, Yorkville, and Plainfield for over 12 years. He resides in Yorkville with his wife and two daughters.
Dr. James Hawkins
Dr. Hawkins is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who has been practicing for over 30 years. He was born in Evergreen Park, Illinois, and received his undergraduate degree from Illinois Benedictine College and his medical degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Hawkins completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Cook County in Chicago.
He has been practicing in Sandwich and Yorkville for over 20 years. He resides in Yorkville with his wife and seven children.
Dr. Bryan Sweeney
Dr. Sweeney is a Board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and has been practicing for almost 10 years. He grew up on the east side of Aurora, Illinois, and received his bachelors in science from Aurora University. Dr Sweeney went to Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, and did his residency at Resurrection Hospital in Chicago, IL.
Before becoming a doctor, Dr Sweeney was an electrician for 12 years. He resides in Yorkville with his wife and 6 kids. He is an expert in robotic surgery and proctors’ new robotic surgeons.
Leslie Oliver, CNM-APRN
Leslie is our board-certified nurse midwife. She started out her career as a cardiac nurse for 10 years, followed by 10 years as a labor & delivery (L&D) nurse at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. From her experience in L&D, Leslie knew she wanted to play a larger role in women’s health with a focus on pregnancy and delivery. She pursued a degree from the University of Cincinnati and graduated with a master of science in nursing, specializing in midwifery.
Leslie joined Aishling in 2019 and has been an asset to our team. Her goal is to make the birthing experience fun and memorable for every patient. She is the one who will keep you laughing through the contractions. Leslie’s personable energy lights up the delivery room.
Leslie lives in Sandwich with her husband and three children.
A certified nurse-midwife (CNM) is a licensed healthcare practitioner educated in nursing and midwifery. Midwives provide quality medical care, while guiding and empowering patients to become a stronger advocate for their own health.
Krissy Ross, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Krissy Ross is a board-certified nurse practitioner. She started her career as a labor & delivery, newborn, and postpartum nurse. She practiced for over 20 years before deciding to further her career. She went on to receive her masters from Olivet Nazarene University for her Nurse Practitioners degree and graduated in 2022.
Krissy is a certified breastfeeding instructor and loves to help new moms in their breastfeeding journey. Her passion is women’s health and family care. Krissy strives to provide the best care to all her patients and loves to build strong connections with them all.
Outside of work, Krissy is active in her local community. Krissy spends her free time with her husband of 22 years and her 3 amazing children Morgan, Jacob, and Jackson.
Nurse practitioners can perform many services that physicians provide, such as: disease prevention, health promotion, contraceptive counseling, menstrual disorder care, preconception care, maternity care (excluding delivery), as well as STI testing and counseling.
Klaudia Niedzwiecki, FNP-C
Klaudia is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Prior to becoming an NP, Klaudia practiced as a postpartum nurse at Rush Copley for over five years. She earned her master of science in nursing with a concentration in family health from Lewis University in 2018.
Klaudia’s goal is to provide excellent, compassionate, and skilled health care to females in all stages of life. She believes in empowering women to make their own informed decisions.
In her spare time, Klaudia enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends. She also speaks fluent Polish.
